Sporty Chic

This is my "I'm trying to look sporty but have absolutely no knowledge about sports" look. Yeah, nailed it.

First off, I want to say thank you to the lovely ladies at Laura's Boutique for sending me this super cute top. I definitely wanted the focal point of this entire outfit to revolve around this baseball top. I've really been eyeing these style shirts lately because I love the casual look it gives. What I love most about this one especially is that the material is very silky and lightweight. It totally creates a nice mix of girly and sporty–– sporty chic

I decided to wear this top open instead of buttoned up to give the overall look a carefree feel. And with that, I paired it with a simple black crop top. The crop top gives the outfit some edge, but it's still simple enough that it doesn't distract your attention away from the baseball shirt.

My hair is also a bit of a mess, which was not intentional at all... but just happened since I was apparently too lazy to brush it that day. But surprisingly, the messy hair went with the overall look I was aiming for.

When deciding what bottoms to wear with this outfit, I immediately knew that ripped distressed jeans would be a MUST. They give a very chic yet somewhat rugged look to the outfit–– pulling together that "sporty chic" vibe. And I mean, let's be real, ripped jeans go with just about anything and everything! You just can't go wrong with them. And the best part is they get more distressed the more you wear them, so your jeans just gain more character! These beauties are from Just Black Denim, which is one of my favorite brands for jeans! They're always up to date with styles and they're pretty inexpensive which is a plus! If you live in the SoCal area, you can usually find them at Kaitlyn Clothing.

And to finalize this outfit, I had to give it a girly kick and throw on some heeled black booties. It's simple enough to keep the outfit casual, but the heel definitely makes any outfit a little more girly.

And lastly, let's just talk about my internet bestie, Alaine. (Go follow her on Instagram and check out her blog, The Fashion Bum!) We've been Instagram friends for years now but a few months ago we ACCIDENTALLY met each other at the Bates Motel. It was the weirdest and greatest thing that has ever happened to me, tbh. I freaking adore her and shooting together from our blog is always a fun time. Ok that's all, ily Alaine, bye.
