Oversized Knits + Thigh High Boots

Monday, January 11, 2016

Thigh-high boots are such a classic and timeless piece. They have this magical power of making just about any outfit look FIERCE. For the longest time, I was drooling over the Stuart Weitzman pair that everyone and their mother owned. But I couldn't get myself to cash out $800. I mean, I couldn't even if I wanted to. If you're ballin' on a budget like me, these Public Desire boots just might be your answer. And by just might, I mean.. YES. THIS IS YOUR ANSWER. GO BUY THEM.

I don't know about you guys, but heels are just NOT my thing. So if you're going to ask me about comfort with these shoes, I'm the wrong girl to ask. I'm such a baby when I'm wearing anything that's just...not flat. But a friend of mine owns the exact pair– she's a heels lover and says these are comfortable for her. Regardless, beauty is pain my friends! I strutted my stuff and just held back the tears.

As much as I wanted to Kourtney Kardashian this outfit and wear an oversized knit sweater alone; my sweater just wasn't quite oversized enough. So I had to layer it over this American Apparel high waisted skirt. I felt like the cream and the olive really blended well together to create an entire flow to the outfit.

but, do these boots fit true to your leg or are they big and slouchy? because i have skinny little legs, lol.

    1. Thanks Kiara! <3 They're only a little bit loose on me, but the great thing about this pair is that it has a tie in the back so you can easily adjust it! xo

  2. AHH I LOVE THIS OUTFIT SO MUCH!!! I recently got a pair of thigh high boots and to be honest, I keep seeing these Stuart Weitzman dupes and kind of wish I waited a bit before I bought mine...maybe I'll buy another pair? hahaha. I love how you paired the cream sweater with the skirt! So pretty!

I saw your post and decided yours would be one of the 5 I'd comment on ;)
Absolutely love the way those boots look! I'm a flat-shoes girl myself too, they never feel comfy for me for the most part. But I don't think we have to wear heels when we don't like them. That being said, your legs look so much longer and sexier in this pair. But, you know, make sure you don't overdo the pain :')

    1. I'm not quite sure how the half sizes would work but I'm a size US 7 and they fit me perfectly! I'd recommend maybe contacting them via email to ask Public Desire their opinion!
